Beijinger Behörden haben Ermittlungen zu möglichen Markenrechtsverletzungen durch Apple aufgenommen. Ein chinesisches Unternehmen namens Proview behauptet, die Marke iPad verletze seine Markenrechte. Dies kann für Apple zu einer hohen Strafe von 10 Milliarden Yuan (ca. 1,2 Milliarden Euro) führen.
