Ende März gab Nvidia Chef Jen-Hsun Huang in einem Interview an, dass man im Sommer mit einem Tegra 3 Tablet rechnen könne, welches mit einem Preis in Höhe von 199$ versehen sein soll. Ich habe das damals auf das kommende Google Nexus Tablet bezogen, es ist zwar immer noch nicht ganz ausgeschlossen, aber es handelt sich wohl um ein eigenständiges Projekt. NVIDIA ist ja eigentlich eher für seine GPUs und der ARM-Plattform Tegra bekannt, doch es ist Mode in der Branche sich mehreren Geschäftsfeldern abseits des Kerngeschäfts zuzuwenden. Samsung macht es schon lange vor und bietet Geräte sowie Komponenten aus einer Hand an, Huawei und HTC wollen zumindest in Sachen CPU nachziehen. Mit NVIDIA kommt nun das nächste Schwergewicht auf den gleichen Geschmack.
