Amazon bringt eigene Karten-Software für Kindle-Fire-Tablets

Bereits Ende September gab Amazon das Vorhaben bekannt, selbst einen Kartendienst zu entwickeln und veröffentlichte in einer Beta-Version die Amazon Maps API. Application programming interfaces sind Programmierschnittstellen mit deren Hilfe Entwickler die Karten-Software bearbeiten können. Laut Amazon steht die Amazon Maps API nun öffentlich für jeden zum Download bereit.
